True Joy

Without experiencing sorrow and mourning, there is no way for us to appreciate its opposite. We have nothing with which to compare our happiness.

Therefore we experience suffering. Only then can we know the true taste of joy.

Openings of Hope

Through the Truth, G-d Himself will shine to us and help us see the openings of hope that exist even in the lowest depths.

This is the way to escape the Darkness and enter the Light, constantly coming closer to G-d.

Just Passing Through

This world is only the ante-chamber, the place of preparation, leading to the World to Come. Only when we understand that the soul is living and enduring, that its sojourn in a transitory body in a transitory world is a preparation for something higher, can we begin to make sense of the things people go through in this world.

Overcoming Negative Thinking

During stressful moments in life, remember to stop and ask yourself, “Where am I?”

This will help you keep a perspective on things and prevent you from sliding further down the trail of negative thinking.

You will be more easily able come to your senses, as you realize that the spiraling effect of negative thinking will only lead to morbid thoughts and dysfunction.

Furthermore, by staying focused on the higher purpose of life, you will be able to transcend the bitterness and suffering of the moment and stay with joy.

Life is too precious to waste or shorten by being depressed and sad.

Your Inner Strength

The next time you’re confronted by difficulties, large or small, remember Rebbe Nachman’s call: “Never despair! Never give up!”

Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and consider your options— because you do have them.

Say a prayer to G-d to help you succeed in this situation He’s put you into.

Even if all the exits seem blocked, use your inner strength to cope with situations you cannot change.
