“The whole earth is filled with His glory” (Isaiah 6: 3)
The main thing is to nullify every one of your personality traits. You must strive to do so until you have totally obliterated your ego, rendering it into absolute nothingness before G-d.
Begin with one trait and annihilate it completely. Then work on your other traits, one at a time, until they are totally nonexistent.
As you annihilate your ego, G-d’s glory will begin to shine through and be revealed.

“When things are very bad, make yourself into nothing.”
“You close your mouth and eyes, and you are like nothing!”
Sometimes you may feel overwhelmed.
You must then make yourself like nothing – you no longer exist, your eyes and mouth are closed. Every thought is banished. Your mind ceases to exist. You have nullified yourself completely before G-d.

Rebbe Nachman teaches us that we need not be slaves to impulse and conditioning. We can respond differently. We can exercise discipline. This is true of thoughts, speech and deeds.
Our Rebbe likens this self-control to a rider on a horse that has gone astray. All he has to do is grab hold of the reins to return it to the path (Likutei Moharan II: 50).
As long as we keep life simple, we can maintain control over many facets of our lives.
